In 2018, Brett Schurman opened up Schurman Executive Recruiting. Prior to starting SER, Brett worked for one of the largest global recruiting companies where he was regularly recognized as a top contributor throughout the world. A great majority of the work was done in the following markets:

- Supply Chain
- Transportation and Logistics
- Purchasing and Buying
Outside of Supply Chain, Brett has successfully placed executives in:

MEET OUR TEAM

Brett Schurman
Chief Recruiter and Owner
Brett is a tenured recruiter who assists companies in finding talented professionals in the distribution, logistics, and supply chain community. His core values are integrity, passion, and customer service.
Prior to starting Schurman Executive Recruiting, Brett spent 16 years with Manta Resources, an affiliate of MRINetwork. While at MRI, Brett was recognized numerous times as a leader in the field. A sample of accomplishments would be:
– 12-time Pacesetter, designated as a top 3% performer in my global organization.
– Regularly recognized as a “Top 50” performer in MRINetwork world-side.
– $5M+ club in less than 16 years.
Brett has placed professionals in supply chain ranging from supervisor to a COO, in operations, engineering, facilities and maintenance, HR, and IT. Brett has also worked in support fields of supply chain with engineering firms, MHE manufacturers, and IT consulting firms.
Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, traveling, the outdoors, and his fur-baby Millie.

Kate Stephens
Supply Chain Recruiter
Kate is a seasoned recruiter who has worked in a variety of industries. For the last 9 years Kate has worked for an Indianapolis based boutique staffing firm that largely focuses on positions within the field of human resources, customer service, administrative and accounting. Kate was known for her ability to guide candidates through their career which led to long lasting relationships. She has a real passion for helping clients and candidates to find the best possible match. She accomplishes this by having an innate ability to understand both the client and candidate’s needs and also in assessing talent. Kate is a relator, positive in nature, approaches all situations with integrity and is naturally inquisitive.
Kate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ball State University and is a certified Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) professional.
Family is at the utmost importance to Kate, so she enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, cat and dog. She is a nature seeker whether that be going on walks or hiking mountain sides. Philanthropy is at the center of who Kate is, so she also likes to spend time volunteering in the community and is on the board for a local community organization.
